Kate O'Boyle, BSc, MA, MIAHP, MUSABP, MISCA has a Master's Degree in Somatic Psychology (Body Psychotherapy). She trained in Colorado, USA and developed her practice in Ireland. Within the context of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, she has a Diploma in Jungian Perspectives in Counselling and Psychotherapy and she is influenced by Person Centred Psychotherapy, Pre & Perinatal Psychology, Developmental Theory, Attachment Theory, Process Oriented Psychology, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing (Trauma Work) and Family systems. She has also trained in Body Mind Centering, Authentic Movement, EMDR, Hellinger's Systemic Constellation Work. Kate is particulary interested in the use of mindfulness as the basis of developing and sustaining psychological health.
Prior to her training in psychotherapy she had careers in the teaching and social work professions in N. Ireland. Kate has also trained in Contemporary Dance, Contemplative Movement Practice and Yoga.
Kate is a psychotherapist at Monkstown Therapy Centre, Co. Dublin. She also has a private practice near Ashford, Co. Wicklow. She is a member of The Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, The United States Association for Body Psychotherapy and The International Systemic Constellations Association.
